Roosevelt Island Aerial Tour

The launch of the new campus on Roosevelt Island, the Cornell Tech marketing team aimed to create a digital impact that would showcase the completed campus and convey the organization's innovative and technology-focused identity.

 

We designed a tailored, interactive user experience on the Cornell Tech website, enabling visitors to take a 360-degree tour of the campus. This accessible and user-friendly experience offers essential information about the campus and its programs, reinforcing Cornell Tech's position as a technology-driven organization.

PROCESS

Our first step in developing the platform was to create a digital framework that could seamlessly integrate multimedia content for each new building alongside photography of the campus itself.

 

We landed on an interactive, aerial 360° experience—designed to be both visually immersive and intuitive to navigate.

PRODUCT

From their desktop, users can explore the 360° experience by dragging, zooming, and navigating between interactive hotspots. Each panoramic image contains nearly 500 million pixels, offering an extraordinarily detailed aerial view of the campus.

 

In its first week, the experience drew over 10,000 unique visitors to Cornell Tech’s website. From prospective students to alumni, it delivered a memorable and informative introduction to the university’s new satellite campus.
